Lindsay from Fresher Than Fresh Snow Cones called me to capture her grand finale in the Snow Cone Garden for 2010. Lindsay sells all natural gourmet snow cones out of her 1957 Shasta Trailer and can be found every Sunday just west of downtown Kansas City in a little garden at 17th & Summit. She combines all natural fruits and herbs to make homemade flavors such as Watermelon Basil, Lemon Prickly Pear, and Blackberry Lavender amongst others. Lindsay had a few special touches to see off the Summer of 2010…some of which were a vintage prize wheel, her brand new Snow Pops in an antique icebox, mason jar lights, and japanese lanterns. There was a steady line of FtF loyalists getting their last fix for 2010. Although snow cone season is wrapped up for 2010, her snow pops will be available at Hammerpress all winter for those who can’t wait until next May for the sweet, all natural goodness.
