engagement.  |

I’ve know  Caleb for a couple years.  We played soccer together around KC and Caleb is also a student at IHOPU which is the Bible School wing of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.  This was another winter engagement session…overcast skies provided for some nice soft light and melting snow made the streets nice and shiny.  Here’s some pics from their session…

    Hi Steve,

Really love the images from this set of engagement photos. The compositions are strong and I love the even lighting and creative edge. I did wan’t to submit this thought though. I couldn’t help but think that the post, as good as the images are, would have looked even stronger if the colors were more consistent. Any thoughts on this critique?

thanks Steve for the compliments! yes, i see what you’re talking about for sure. i go back and forth with color treatments. I try to vary it depending on the client and the style they’ve expressed interest in. sometimes I keep it pretty narrow and consistent with color treatments…other times I give it some diversity. Im not 100% set on either approach, although long-term i do think that developing a consistent brand, look, feel to the images goes well with both photog and prospective clients. tks again amigo!
